Jigsaw Pieces All About MACS

Mearns After-school Care Service (MACS) was established by it's two founder directors in August 1995.  The original project operated at Eastwood High School and offered 24 places after school.  Three directors now run the company centrally from it's Head Office and each has "hands-on" experience as Project Managers.

With the growth of the company MACS opened its first dedicated office in Barrhead, this is now located in Paisley and employs an Accounts Manager, an Accounts Assistant and 3 Admin Officers.

MACS stands for quality and we ensure staff receive regular training on all issues relating to our field of work.  Care Inspectorate reports are always favourable and these can be inspected in any of our projects.  We welcome parents and children's comments to continue and develop our services.

We  now operate 9 breakfast clubs, 10 out of school clubs and 2 holiday clubs throughout the year.  Activities include Art and Craft, Baking,  Sport, Entertainment, Outings during holidays, Healthy snacks, Games and Activities.

MACS works in co-operation with East Renfrewshire Council and a staff member serves on the  East Renfrewshire Childcare Partnership and on the East Renfrewshire Child Protection Sub-Committee.
