MACS Mission Statement
To provide a high quality, safe, child-led play environment for children out of school hours
Value Statement
We will ensure that the child’s best interests and welfare are our primary concern.
We will ensure that all services conform to the standards of safety, staffing and supervision established by the Out of School Care regulating body The Care Inspectorate and the “Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001”.
We respect the rights and responsibilities of parents and guardians and work in partnership with them to care for their children, in their absence.
We will ensure that all staff working with children receive regular training either internally or externally to provide quality standards and to work towards staff registration recommendations by the Scottish Social Services Council. We evaluate this by committing to Quality Audits e.g. Aiming High (the National Quality Award for Out of School Care) and the principles of IIP (Investors in People).
We believe every child has the right to play in a safe secure environment which is child led and follow the principles in Article 31 of the United Nations Rights of The Child.
We will consult with children and carers to provide activities that develop children's social and play skills.
We follow East Renfrewshire Child Protection Committee's Guidelines on Child Protection to ensure all children in our care are protected.
We will work in partnership with parents, carers and guardians to promote positive behaviour.
