Applying For Care
Q - How do I apply for care during term time?
A - If you would like to apply for care please complete our Parent Enquiry Form. You will then be contacted by our office staff advising you if we have care available in your chosen project on the date that you wish care to start. If care is not available at that time we will add your name to our Waiting List and will contact you when a space becomes available.
If a space is available we will arrange for the relevant paperwork to be completed for you and a non-refundable registration fee must be paid (this is a one off fee per family will not be paid again for siblings or if a place is cancelled and then taken up again at a later date). An induction visit must also be arranged with the project before your child's start date.
Q - Do you offer a service during holidays?
A - Macs offers holiday care from 2 venues in Newton Mearns and Clarkston. If you would like to apply for care please complete our Parent Enquiry Form. You will then be contacted by office staff who will enquire if you would like to enter into a holiday contract or wish to register to use holiday care on an occassional basis. Once care has been offered relevant paperwork must be completed, a non-refundable £50 registration fee must be paid and a visit to your Macs project must be completed with you and your child before using our holiday club for the first time.
Holiday care can be booked by completing our online booking forms. These are made available for completion by customers at the beginning of the month prior to any school holidays.
Q -Is there a minimum number of days I can use?
A - Yes. Customers must use a minimum of 2 days per week for term time contracts (i.e 2x breakfast club or 2x after school sessions). When applying for a holiday contract a minimum of 2 days per week must also be contracted. Holidays can however be used without a contract which does not incur a minimum number of days - although care is not guaranteed and places are allocated on a first come first seved basis after holiday contract customers are catered for.
Q - Do you offer care to children with Additional Support Needs?
A - We offer care to any child, as long as we can meet their individual needs. We must ensure that we are the correct setting for any child with additional support needs so that each child would settle in our care.
Q - How do I pay MACS?
A - Customers receive an invoice via email on the 28th of every month requesting payment for the month ahead e.g invoice received on 28th July 2017 will refer to care booked from 1st August 2017 to 31st August 2017.
Invoices must be settled within 7 days. We accept payment by Direct Debit, Childcare Voucher or Tax Free Childcare. More details are available from our Settlement Of Invoices page.

Q - Why are my invoices different each month?
A - MACS will only charge you for the days used per month meaning each invoice will vary from month to month. For example in July schools are on holiday and you would be charged only for holiday dates booked. If you do not use holiday care you will not receive an invoice at all for the month of July.
Q - Why have I received an invoice on 1st August when I have not used any summer holiday care?
A - The invoice sent on 1st of August will include any summer holiday club care booked as well as the first days of term in August as we invoice on the 1st of every month for the month ahead.
Changes To Contract
Q - I no longer require care, how do I cancel?
A - To reduce your contract with MACS please discuss your new requirements with your MACS Project Manager at your earliest convenience. The Manager will assist you in completing an online Contract Amendment form from within the project. We require 4 weeks notice in writing (email accepted) for any reduction in contract or cancellation of care.
