 MEARNS PRIMARY SCHOOL

At Macs Mearns we have spaces for up to 88 children at Breakfast Club and 104 children at our After School Care.  We operate from 7.45am for Breakfast Club where a healthy breakfast and fun activities are provided. After school club operates from school closure to 6pm. We plan lots of activities for children to choose from including arts & crafts, physical and imaginative play.

At Mearns the staff have introduced badgework to MACS after children said they wanted to be challenged.  We now have 8 badges available for children to achieve including Talent, Sport, Risky Play (this includes using the Fire Pit), International, Friendship Helper and Life Skills.

Children can access the Art Room and Library, and older children have a dedicated area in the IT suites. Staff also lead regular cookery classes, nurture circuits and badge-work.  We also use the outside spaces and local resources within the community that interest children.
