Holiday Care

Welcome to the MACS Holiday Care page.  Here you should be able to find all the information you need to use MACS Holiday Clubs which run throughout the year including dates, cost, venues and more.

Use of Holiday Club

 

Customer can use holiday club as and when required. You will receive a Holiday Booking Form prior to each holiday this must be completed and returned to our Head Office before the specified closing date stating care required. We will process bookings on a first come first served basis and will guarantee care for those who return their booking form before the closing date.

Please note any trips which are offered during holidays will incur an additional charge which will be detailed on the booking form.  Trips are optional and are allocated on a first come first served basis.

 

Once Holiday Bookings are confirmed any changes to your booking will result in full charges still being incurred.  A late booking fee of £5.00 is charged for holiday bookings received and confirmed after the set closing date.

Holiday Dates, Times & Venues

Holiday Club operates from 7.45am to 6.00pm throughout any holidays with MACS closing only on Public Holidays.  Venues vary depending on which schools we can gain access to and the number of children expected during any particular holiday.  Venues are detailed on each booking form however can be subject to change if we can no longer access the school or if numbers are higher/lower than expected.  We will always notify parents/carers by email of any venue changes with as much notice as possible.

Unless you have been contacted directly by MACS venues for Summer are as follows:

St Cadocs Primary School (children using this holiday club on 10th, 13th & 14th August 2018 venue will be Mearns Parish Church)

St Joseph's Primary School (children using this holiday club on 13th & 14th August 2018 venue will be Fairweather Hall)

Cost

Cost information can be found on our Current Fees page. Please note that Childcare Vouchers and Tax Free Childcare Scheme can be used to help with cost. 

If trips are available to book during any holiday all details including cost will be included on the relevant Holiday Booking Form.

Booking Holiday Care

All current clients should receive a Holiday Booking Form prior to any upcoming holidays.  Please submit this online form before the closing date to book care for your child.  If you have not received an email from MACS containing the link to our online booking form please contact us.

Booking Trips

If trips are available during a Holiday these will be detailed on the booking form.  Details will include the date and time of the trip, which age group the trip is available for and the cost of the trip along with a link to the trip venues website if available for more information. 

Please note that trips will only appear on the Booking Form once the relevant date has been selected for care. Please visit our Risk Assessments page to view more information.

As you may be aware the new Data Protection (GDPR) 2018 takes affect from 25th May 18.  Within the new GDPR children are given the right to have their opinions listened to and taken seriously by adults on matters that affect them.  With this in mind we ask that children are included when deciding on which trips (if any) are requested to book.

Changing Your Holiday Booking

Requested changes received prior to MACS confirming your booking: All requests for changes to your submitted booking, including adding or cancelling days will be given consideration. After which we will advise you if we are to make these changes, without amendment fees.

 

Requested changes received after MACS has confirmed your booking: All requests for additional days will be placed on a waiting list. If we are able to make your requested changes we will advise you and an amendment fee of £5.00 will be charged. Any requests to cancel days will result in full fees being incurred.

Confirming Holiday Bookings​

Once the closing date has passed MACS will process all Holiday bookings.  Care is allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.  Any trips booked are strictly allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Once processed a confirmation email will be sent to the email address detailed on the original booking form.  Once this has been sent out your holiday booking has been confirmed and any cancellations will incur full fees being charged.

Holiday Club Activities

During any Holidays a wide range of activities are available for your child to take part in.  We regularly have themed arts & crafts, cookery, baking, physical play, outside play and more.  We try to make use of local amenities and children always choose which activities they would like to participate in.

Eating @ MACS

When using MACS Holiday Clubs, a healthy breakfast and snacks are provided by us.  Children should however be provided with a packed lunch by parents/carers.  Before preparing your child's lunch please view our Lunchbox Guidance which includes important information regarding minimising allergy risks for all children in our care.

Contacting Holiday Clubs

If for any reason your child will not be attending on a date you have booked care during the holidays please contact us to let us know.  If you know they will not be attending prior to the holiday beginning please contact Head Office.

If the holidays have began please contact the Holiday Club venue directly by using the telephone numbers provided to you on your Confirmation Email.  These numbers can also be obtained by contacting Head Office.  Please ensure you know your memorable phrase/password as you will be asked for this to confirm your identity.
