MACS News

Dear parents and carers,

We would like to thank you for the kind support and understanding you have given us in what are difficult and uncertain circumstances for everyone.

We have tried as always to keep everyone’s health and safety our prime concern. In view of government directives on essential travel we will be closing our office as of tonight.

If you do have any queries or concerns you can contact us through boardmembers@macs.uk.com. Please tell us the nature of your query and if necessary leave us a contact telephone number.

In the event of an emergency you can contact 07971 421884. This number will be answered by the duty staff member assigned to that day.

In answer to a few finance queries we would like you to note that there will be no invoices for April unless you still have the 5 days of your contract to complete as per our previous email and your contract. We may have to review this at a later point for a May. If you are giving up your place because your child is in Primary 7 we will still apply the one months’ notice. We would like to take this opportunity to wish all P7 the very best at Secondary School.

Our Scotstoun Hub has now closed.

Our Neilston Hub will close on Friday .

Our St Cadocs Hub remains open and we will try to staff this for as long as possible and will review this weekly.

We will continue to put advice, activities and any current news in our social media pages on Twitter and Facebook, please see social media links at the top of this page.

We are missing our children and look forward to seeing you all hopefully in the near future. Please stay safe.

Penny, Mary, Elaine and all the MACS team

  • Covid-19 Update 24/03/2020

In the event of School Closure, due to severe weather conditions, MACS where possible will try to operate an emergency care facility from one of our registered venues.

As you will be aware the closure of schools due to bad weather has occurred more frequently in recent years.

Please note that the quickest method of contacting our parent(s) / carer(s) with up to date news, is via Email, MACS Facebook and MACS Twitter.

Can we ask you to check your Email, MACS Facebook and MACS Twitter for any updates?

NOTICE TO ALL PARENTS/ CARERS

We work proactively for parent(s) / carer(s), to find alternative venues to offer emergency care, and ask for parent(s)/ carer(s) support whilst we put these emergency procedures in place.

As indicated in our terms & conditions, when projects are closed, this decision is not taken lightly. In exceptional circumstances the decision to close is not ours and is due to School Lets being cancelled. We will charge full fees on this occasion and would review this policy in the event of unforeseen long-term closure.
